Capri v0.4.0 is here!

Hey, chooms! A new Capri update is ready. Here’s what’s new:

Redesigned settings with search and updated translations across all 50 interface languages.
Reminders, timers, and a stopwatch you can manage through conversation.
More desktop tools: launch approved apps, open web pages, and manage files with your permission.
Voice improvements: better microphone handling, speech recognition options, and an optional synthetic voice effect.
More reliable initiative: fixed an issue that could stop Capri from starting conversations.
Installation and update fixes, including more reliable download retries and easier voice setup.

Thank you for all the activity, support, and bug reports! Your logs, GitHub issues, and feedback helped track down problems and make this release better. Please keep them coming, Capri still has plenty of room to grow.

A dedicated Discord server is coming soon! We’ll have a place to share feedback, discuss updates, help each other, and just hang out.

I haven’t slept for the past week, developing Capri day and night just to make you a little happier.

Thank you to every single one of you who subscribes, watches, leaves comments, and helps fix bugs. You guys are awesome!

There are many more changes ahead:

- Stability improvements

- Feature expansions

- Simplified development processes

- Code refactoring for certain parts of the project

We managed to fix most of the critical errors within the first 5 hours across three quick patches: v0.3.1, v0.3.2, and v0.3.3. Thank you for sending error reports, logs, writing bug reports, and opening issues on GitHub.

It's already late night here in Europe, so I’m going to go catch up on a week's worth of sleep. I will grant you access to the GitHub repository as soon as I wake up, so please bear with me for a little bit.

Feel free to send a DM, follow on TikTok, and share your thoughts. In the future, I’ll set up a dedicated Discord server to stay closer to you all.

How to download Capri?

I get asked this by hundreds of ppl daily, so let's clear up the most popular questions.

Capri is still under development and has a bunch of unfinished features that need tuning, but I'm gonna drop it completely on my GitHub.

How much does it cost?

The project is open-source and totally free. It doesn't require any third-party APIs like Claude or ElevenLabs. If you wanna support the development, you can head over to my Boosty and drop a small donation to help the project grow.
