Casino Magic Bay St. Louis expansion completed
The company completed the $37 million expansion of its casino Magic Real Estate in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Opened on May 27 with its 14-story, 291-room Bay Tower Hotel, the most comprehensive casino resort on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Penn National acquired casino magic bay st. Louis in August 2000 and began the expansion project in April 2001.
Responding to the completion of the project, Penn National Chief Executive Peter M. Located on approximately 600 acres along the Gulf of St. Louis, the new tower hotel includes the Jourdan River Grill, Cypress Cove Ballroom, Spa at the Bay, token gift shops, and additional accommodation improvements. The hotel currently offers weekly concerts, five restaurants, an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Championship golf course, RV Park, and 201 room in a 24-hour casino, daily entertainment in the casino lobby, and 22,000-square-foot entertainment complex. Casino Magic Bay St. Louis is located approximately 46 miles east of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Penn National's expansion of the Casino Magic Hotel has created about 200 new jobs in Hancock County. Currently, Casino Magic Bay St. Louis employs more than 1,250 people. Besides Casino Magic Bay St. Louis, Penn National Gaming owns and operates Charles Town Race in Charles Town, West Virginia, which currently has 2,000 gaming consoles, Boomtown Biloxi Casino in Biloxi, Casino Rouge, a riverboat gaming facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Bullwalkers Real Estate in Black Hawk, Colorado.
