Spring/Summer 1998
Collection is called Bombyx Mori - that is, "The Butterfly Of The Silkworm". It has wings, but can't fly. This metaphor refers to Japanese businessmen, to whom the collection is dedicated.
Spring/Summer 2000, "Exhibition of 20 Sculptures"
An optical game from a booklet dedicated to the latest Autumn/Winter 2000/2001 collection.
During the presentation of this collection, Arakawa showed a 20-minute film 0cm4, the hero of which does not distinguish colors and lives in anticipation of an eye surgery that threatens to change not only his vision, but also his entire perception of the world. In addition to the footage from the film, the booklet is full of optical games and tasks. Some of them are related to clothing, its color and design.
