About the game and the release date of the free version.

I once wrote that I wanted to redo the background in the very first episode, on the train, because I wasn't happy with what I used before. Finally, I got around to it. But when I sat down to redo it, I saw how poorly the lighting was set up (which isn't surprising — it's the first episode and my first attempts at making a game, and the remaster didn't touch this part). I had to redo that too, and you can see the result in the two renders I posted. Now, compared to the new ones, even the other renders after the remaster look dull xD. A remaster of the remaster? No, that's enough — it's time to move on. If someone doesn't like the game, bad renders are unlikely to be the main reason — 'unplayable, hurts my eyes'... The train just wouldn't let me rest. Now I'm done with it, and I can move forward. A total of 29 renders were redone.
Another reason I redid these renders right now is the upcoming Steam store page. I'm planning to launch the page with a demo version sometime in September, but it all depends on how the trailer turns out. I've planned it all nicely, but how feasible it is in practice — I have no idea, since I have no experience with Adobe After Effects.
Now, a bit about the game. The City Route renders are finished — I'm working on the 'alternative' branch xD. The City Route turned out great, no exaggeration — I think it's one of the best episodes in this path. 80% new locations, seasoned with plot and 'strawberry' content (yes, now in the City Route, both branches will have some naughty stuff in every episode).
The 'alternative branch' turned out to be quite large, mainly because Layla starts expanding her list of services — and in quite an unexpected direction (though for some, maybe not too unexpected). Since the content is definitely not for everyone, there will be a choice, and those who don't want that kind of content will still get a reward — you won't be left out xD.
