Notes of a Shitty Playwright xD
There's very little time left until the release of the free version of Episode 8, and development of Episode 9 is moving along at full speed.
I want to share a little story related to Episode 9 — there have been quite significant changes for future updates of City Route. It all started when I, as usual, had my wife read the episode, and at the end I got something like, 'Are you out of your mind, you shitty playwright? Why would you do something like that?' — well, in a softer tone. After thinking it over, I agreed that I had gone too far. But I didn't throw away that 'stick' — instead, I placed all the responsibility on the player xD. Now, it's up to the player's choice to determine how Episode 10 begins and which branch the story follows.
The branches are already separated starting from Episode 7, when the player chooses to kiss Roy or try to kiss him.
In the City Route branch, Episode 9 will be similar to Episode 8 in that the branches will intersect the same way they did in Episode 8. There will be differences, but small ones. Episode 10, however, will split these branches completely, and they will be totally unlike each other, developed alternately with each subsequent episode.
For those who have already played Episode 8 and/or have saves — you don't need to replay or start over.
If you don't have saves, you'll have to skip through. I haven't yet created starting points from which you can begin the game. So for those who don't know: you can simply start from an early save or from the beginning and hold down CTRL — all renders and unskippable videos should fly by without any issues.
