Мне интересны истории о любви, которая приходит, когда для неё совсем не подходящее время. Когда жизнь устроена, привычки сложились и впускать в неё другого человека немного страшно. Но всё-таки хочется.

Я пишу современные любовные романы и романтическое фэнтези. О взрослых героях, притяжении, неловких разговорах, вторых шансах — и близости, ради которой приходится рискнуть привычным покоем.

Здесь буду делиться главами и отрывками, знакомить вас с будущими книгами и показывать, что происходит между первым черновиком и последней правкой. Иногда сцена начинается с одной реплики, а потом герои портят весь авторский план. Об этом тоже расскажу.

On July fifteenth, a guest asks Marta for a shovel.

Outside, it’s summer. Inside, Room Seven at her inn is filling with snow. She needs to rescue her guest, stop the blizzard, and call a weatherwright. His name is Erik. They once went on a date—after which each decided the other wasn’t particularly interested in another.

So begins The House with Spring to Spare: Summer Under One Roof—a collection of eight connected stories set in Velsa, a town where weather is stored in vessels, but matters of the heart still have to be worked out without magic.

There are rooms to look after, unusual requests to fulfill, neighbors with worries of their own, and two adults gradually learning to make time for each other.

I’m drawn to stories about love that arrives at the most inconvenient time. When you’ve built a life and settled into your routines, letting someone else in can feel a little frightening. And yet you want to.

I write contemporary romance and romantic fantasy. My stories are about grown-up characters, attraction, awkward conversations, second chances—and letting someone close, even when it means risking the comfort of the life you know.

Here, I’ll share chapters and excerpts, introduce upcoming books, and show you what happens between the first draft and the final edit. Sometimes a scene begins with a single line of dialogue, and then the characters throw all my plans out the window. I’ll tell you about that, too.
