Justify Lasers is HERE!
Justify Lasers adds a fully configurable Laser Emitter to Minecraft.
Place lasers on walls, floors, or ceilings and use them to build laboratories, security systems, laser barriers, traps, industrial facilities, sci-fi bases — or just something that looks cool.
Place an emitter and right-click it to open its control panel.

🔴 Laser Features
Each laser has a bright white core surrounded by a colored glow.
There are 9 available colors:
• 🔴 Red
• 🟠 Orange
• 🟡 Yellow
• 🟢 Green
• 🔵 Cyan
• 🔵 Blue
• 🟣 Violet
• 🟪 Magenta
• ⚪ White

Beam thickness can be adjusted from 0.10x all the way up to 10.00x.
The maximum range is 64 blocks.
Lasers stop when they hit solid blocks and take the actual collision shape of blocks into account.
Emitters can be mounted in all six directions:
• North
• South
• East
• West
• Up
• Down

The emitter has its own compact custom model instead of visually occupying an entire Minecraft block.
Parts of the emitter also change color depending on the selected laser color.
The mod also includes:
• Beam impact particles
• Emitter sounds
• Block destruction effects
• Entity damage
• Fire effects
• Redstone integration
• Comparator support
• Shader emission
• Minecraft light emission
• Emitter sounds
• Block destruction effects
• Entity damage
• Fire effects
• Redstone integration
• Comparator support
• Shader emission
• Minecraft light emission
⚙️ Emitter Settings
Every Laser Emitter stores its settings independently.
Just right-click the emitter to configure it.
You can change:
• Emitter ON / OFF state
• Redstone behavior
• Beam color
• Beam thickness
• Shader Emission
• Minecraft Lighting
• Block Destruction
• Entity Damage
• Redstone behavior
• Beam color
• Beam thickness
• Shader Emission
• Minecraft Lighting
• Block Destruction
• Entity Damage
Redstone Modes
There are three available modes:
Ignore Redstone
The emitter works regardless of the redstone signal.
The emitter works regardless of the redstone signal.
Requires Signal
The emitter only works while receiving a redstone signal.
The emitter only works while receiving a redstone signal.
Requires No Signal
The emitter only works while it is not receiving a redstone signal.
The emitter only works while it is not receiving a redstone signal.
A comparator outputs:
• 15 when the emitter is active
• 0 when the emitter is inactive
• 0 when the emitter is inactive
💡 Lighting & Shader Emission
Shader Emission and Minecraft Lighting are controlled separately.
This means you can:
• Use shader bloom without producing vanilla Minecraft light
• Produce Minecraft light without shader emission
• Enable both
• Disable both
• Produce Minecraft light without shader emission
• Enable both
• Disable both
When Minecraft Lighting is enabled, the emitter produces light level 15.
New emitters have both Shader Emission and Minecraft Lighting enabled by default.
For safety, Block Destruction and Entity Damage are disabled by default.
So placing a new emitter won't immediately destroy your base or kill everything standing nearby.
🔥 Block Destruction
Block destruction can be enabled individually for every emitter.
When enabled, the laser gradually heats and destroys blocks in its path.
Harder blocks take longer to break.
Blocks that normally cannot be destroyed will stop the laser completely.
💀 Entity Damage
Entity damage is optional and can also be enabled from the emitter settings.
When enabled, living entities touching the beam take damage and can be set on fire.
The laser's collision area scales together with its thickness.
That means a huge 10x beam isn't just visually larger — it's also much harder to avoid.
✨ Shader Support
🎬 Shader Preview
Shaders are not required, but this is where the lasers really start to shine.
Justify Lasers provides emissive beam and emitter materials that shader packs can use for:
• Bloom
• Colored lighting
• Reflections
• Emissive effects
• Environmental illumination
• Colored lighting
• Reflections
• Emissive effects
• Environmental illumination
I've tested the mod with:
• Iris 1.7.6
• Kappa 5.3
• Kappa 5.3
Other shader packs may also work.
The final result depends on how the shader pack handles emissive materials, bloom, reflections, and colored lighting.
🎨 All 9 Laser Colors
To enable these effects, turn on Shader Emission in the Laser Emitter settings.
Without shaders, all core features still work normally:
• Emitters
• Laser beams
• Colors
• Redstone
• Lighting
• Block destruction
• Entity damage
• Laser beams
• Colors
• Redstone
• Lighting
• Block destruction
• Entity damage
Iris and Kappa are not included with the mod.
🔨 Crafting
In Creative Mode, the Laser Emitter can be found in:
• Justify Lasers creative tab
• Redstone creative tab
• Redstone creative tab
In Survival Mode, one Laser Emitter requires:
• 5× Iron Ingots
• 2× Redstone Dust
• 1× Glass Block
• 1× Diamond
• 2× Redstone Dust
• 1× Glass Block
• 1× Diamond
You'll need an Iron Pickaxe or better to collect the emitter after placing it.
📦 Requirements
• Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1
• Fabric Loader 0.19.5+
• Fabric API
• Java 17+
• Fabric Loader 0.19.5+
• Fabric API
• Java 17+
For multiplayer, Justify Lasers and Fabric API must be installed on both the server and all clients.
Iris and shader packs are client-side only and are only needed if you want the additional shader effects.
