Everyone wants to eat. Creating content for the Source Engine is my hobby, but I want it to be useful, I need to pay for housing and something to spend a lot of time creating models and maps.
I decided to abandon the steam workshop and SFMLab in favor of real fans of my work. My life is not the easiest stage now and I need finances.
If you don't see content from patreon here, just send me a PM and I'll put it on boosty. It’s just that in two years I have created quite a lot of content that is not a quick task to transfer.

Сartoon content?

Hi. You've probably noticed that I try to avoid porting maps and models from games that are, so to speak, "cartoony," have an overly colorful style, simplified shapes, outlines, or anything that looks like it was painted with watercolors, like Life Is Strange. I even once considered making a house out of it, combining various parts from previous games, but I abandoned the idea due to its unusual style.
I usually look for something close to realism that will be suitable for a variety of scenarios. But a few months ago, another gacha game, Neverness to Everness, came out. I was immediately intrigued by the interior of the "Golden Capital" apartments. Then, too, I was drawn to "Fenglin Villa," the largest house currently in the game.
But I'm a little disconcerted by the cartoonish look and emptiness of these rooms; I'd even say the designers were overly gigantic. I understand they created hundreds of different interior pieces, you can hang pictures, arrange furniture, and so on, but they still look a little odd.
In general, I would like to know: is it worth considering such content for future ports?
Below is a survey. You'll need to select 2+ options if you agree, and then choose which house you'd like to see. I've included timecodes in the YouTube video description for clarity.

I think these could be an interesting change of pace. The cleaner look can still work with realistic models under user-controlled lighting conditions such as with nolight variations if possible. The scale might be an issue since they're designed for a 3rd person camera. I think it might be worth doing one and seeing how people feel about it.
Nounsthesame, Well, yeah, I'm thinking of trying one of the smaller locations. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to get the interior fully to begin with... I even made a backup of the game to freeze its state, so to speak, otherwise it will update again and the tools/plugins will simply refuse to work with it.
они все выглядят шикарно 🤩

last "haven island" water fix (SFM)

Hi. It's strange that no one has reported the problem to me for almost a whole month. I messed up a bit with the sfm map, I specially made a separate version so that there would be different water, and I still specified the water from garry's mod. As a solution, replace this file with the path \SourceFilmmaker\game\h3_island\materials\nature\
The water needs to be fixed. This applies only to Source Filmmaker.

Regarding old releases.

Honestly, I didn't even realize it had been five years already. I started thinking about maybe making some old maps and models publicly available. Those that are more than two or three years old. Of course, large projects like the casino penthouse, Michael's house, the ranch, and so on will remain Patreon exclusives. For example, the GTA Online apartments, which I made back in 2021.
In general, I would like to know your opinion on whether they should be posted to the workshop / sfmlab.
Yes, I think the old projects can be made available to everyone. 🙂

I paid for them once, I feel sorry that someone will get them for free.. 👺

If you do release your older maps. It'd be a good idea to mention that they used to be Patreon exclusives, and also to advertise your page a little bit too. Perhaps offer suggestions since SFMLab people seem willing to pay for quality conversions...or so they say.
Nounsthesame, well... that's exactly what I was planning to do, self-promotion =)
