🌲He's not just the Guardian of the Forest - He is the Forest 🌲
Hello all!
🌿And so. I'm launching a long-planned project aimed at a charity. This charity concerns one of the Rehabilitation centres for wolves, and its name is "Chertog volka". It is located in Russia, in the Moscow region. And by the way, it is located in a distant village, where I spent a part of my childhood!
🌿Recently, they have also been giving tours of the shelter. This helps them raise funds to keep their residents alive.🐺
🌿Here's what they write about themselves:"""The main aim of the Wolf's Chateau shelter is to help wolves in trouble. Whenever possible we try to take wolves living in captivity in bad conditions. We pick up animals thrown on the street, which never turned into kind and obedient wolves (in spite of promises of sellers of live goods). We do not try to domesticate our animals, respecting their natural wild character. As much as we can, and depending on the situation from which wolves find shelter, we try to make their life at least partially similar to the natural conditions, but as safe as possible for wolves and people.
Long ago our ancestors revered wolves, believing them to be their ancestors, messengers of the gods, guardians of the race. Wolves symbolized freedom and intelligence, strength and speed, endurance and fearlessness. Only with the advent of cattle breeding, when these predatory beasts began to harm the human economy, wolves began to be ascribed such qualities as evil, cunning and greed. Moreover, they even began to be associated with evil spirits.
Despite their reputation as dangerous and ferocious predators, these beasts are among the most powerless creatures in the animal kingdom: they require no permission to kill them. They can be killed all year round and with all kinds of weapons, except, of course, the generally dangerous ones (e.g., with poisons). Besides that the state and the hunting farms often give a reward for the killed wolf.
Lately wolf has become popular with exotic animal lovers. Breeders who don't care about consequences sell wolf cubs to the wolves, presenting these animals as exotic pets and wonderful companions for children. However not all lovers are able to cope with the growing beast and its destructive abilities, as a result half handed wolves increasingly become unnecessary, ending up in cramped cages and on short chains. To get rid of this uncontrollable predator, the owners even try to release it "into the wild", condemning it to a certain death by a bullet. Such wolf, having no fear of man, will easily become prey to a hunter or just an armed citizen who is afraid of approaching of this predatory beast to his home.
In some fairy tales we all know from our childhood, the wolf helps the heroes to overcome difficulties, becomes a guide in an enchanted forest, and saves them from death. Nowadays the nature awareness is growing and we understand that wolves need our help in real life.
🔥Let's help these amazing animals together! """©🔥
🌱Of course, I realise that in the current world situation this may not be relevant for many people, but I don't want to deviate from my long-standing plan. Besides, in times like these people tend to care only about themselves and forget about nature, about animals. I would like to remind you that animals also want to live a decent life, and we shouldn't forget that!🌱
Each wolf in this shelter has its own complicated destiny and history. You can't treat them as mere animals. You feel that he understands everything and realizes everything.🐺Looking into wolf's eyes you look into the kingdom of nature itself and it fascinates you.🏞️🌲They say he is not just a Guardian of the Forest, he is the Forest ©
🌿 I really like wolves. All of my art comes from images of these beautiful animals. I also want to dedicate my art to them further.🐺
🍄Now more words about the project itself:
🍄As of now, I'm slowly starting to work on a series of illustrations dedicated to the inhabitants of this orphanage. I'm not exactly sure yet how many illustrations I'm going to do, 3 illustrations so far, but the more the better.🍄I'm planning to have everything finished by next New Year so that I have enough material to implement in print. It will mostly be postcards, but I'll also think about stickers and pins.🍄I'll also run a "goal target" - so that all products can be printed with these funds. Also, the remaining money of 70% will go directly to this shelter as well as 70% from the sales of the products themselves.
🔥You can support me and my project by subscribing to it. Purchase a membership and keep up to date with all the news and behind the scenes work. All this will never be published in the public domain. You can also buy me a coffee marked "for wolf's den"
