About the creator

Hi, I'm Maullerz, I live in Minsk, I've been playing EVE Online since 2006.

I write various utilities for the game, presented on evetools.org.

What I have at the moment:

- https://br.evetools.org - the all familiar tool that displays battle reports

- https://kb.evetools.org - killboard with basic functionality

- https://db.evetools.org - database of items with description (still basic minimum, in development).

These websites use a constantly growing database with killmails and not the cheapest hosting, costing me ~$30/month.

Earlier the cost of hosting was covered by advertising from Google Adsense banners (most of the income) and partially from Yandex (very tiny part), but Google from December 2024 suddenly decided to stop serving accounts from Belarus. So banners are not the solution anymore.

For some time I collected donations through patreon, but now there is no way to withdraw money from there (their site does not even open without a VPN).

So I decided to make a page on Boosty and try to collect donations here, so that they will be enough to pay for hosting.

If you care and want to support the development and hosting of these websites, send a donation or subscribe, even a small amount will motivate me to keep working on EveTools.

In fact, there are a lot of plans to develop killboard and utilities, but as it turns out, without the support of people, on bare enthusiasm I no longer able to successfully continue the development.

Привет, я Maullerz, живу в Минске, играю в EVE Online с 2006 года.
Пишу различные утилиты для игры, представленные на evetools.org.

Что есть на данный момент:

- https://br.evetools.org - всем знакомая тулза, отображающая батл репорты

- https://kb.evetools.org - киллборда с базовым функционалом

- https://db.evetools.org - база предметов с описанием (пока базовый минимум, в разработке)

Для работы этих вебсайтов используется постоянно растущая база данных с killmails и не самый дешевый хостинг, обходящийся мне в ~3k руб/мес.

Раньше стоимость хостинга покрывала реклама от баннеров Google Adsense (большая часть дохода) и частично от Yandex (очень маленькая часть), но гугл с декабря 2024 решил внезапно перестать обслуживать аккаунты из Беларуси. Таким образом баннеры больше не решают проблему.

Какое то время я собирал донейшены через patreon, но сейчас оттуда нет возможности вывести деньги (их сайт даже не открывается без впн).

И я решил сделал страницу на Boosty и попробовать собирать пожертвования здесь, чтобы их хватало на оплату хостинга.

Если тебе не все равно, и ты хочешь поддержать разработку и хостинг этих вебсайтов, присылай донат или оформи подписку, даже небольшая сумма будет мотивировать меня и дальше трудиться над EveTools.Есть на самом деле много планов по развитию киллборды и утилит, но как выяснилось без поддержки живых людей, на голом энтузиазме я уже не вывожу.

History

In the beginning of 2019 the primary goal of br.evetools.org was just the ability to view zkillboard-relateds on my smartphone and fix the automatic distribution of involved parties between teams.
It used just 500mb free MongoDB Atlas database hosting and free Heroku plan. Functionality has grown over time, i've migrated to Digital Ocean cloud. Database and tools requirements continued to grow and finally we are here at $30/m point.
