Hey there, peeps! 🌟

During our Emotional English Conversation Club events, we’ve uncovered so many awesome words and phrases together. But here’s the deal: practice makes perfect, and we’re here to make it happen! 💪
Let’s turn vocabulary revision into a daily habit—something fun, easy, and super rewarding. Every day, take a moment to revisit a few words or expressions from our meetings. Use them in your conversations, jot them down, or even think about them. Small steps lead to big progress!
WORD OF THE DAY:
🔥 HUMBLE (adj)
Meaning: Not thinking you’re better or more important than others. A humble person is modest, respectful, and doesn’t show off or brag. They’re the kind of people who make the world a better place just by being themselves.
Examples to spark your inspiration:
"My teacher is so humble; she always says she learns as much from her students as they do from her."
(This shows respect and a willingness to grow—no ego, just greatness!)
"Even after winning the award, she stayed humble and thanked everyone who supported her."
(True success doesn’t change who you are—stay grounded and grateful!)
EXTRA VOCABULARY TO LEVEL UP:
✨ 1. SHOW OFF (verb)
Meaning: To act in a way that draws attention to yourself, your abilities, or your possessions—often to impress others. It’s the opposite of being humble.
Example:
"He’s always showing off his new car, but his best friend is so humble that she never talks about what she owns."
(Spot the difference? Humility wins every time!)
✨ 2. BRAG (verb)
Meaning: To talk about yourself, your achievements, or your possessions in a way that shows you’re proud—sometimes to make others admire or envy you. Again, the opposite of humble.
Example:
"He loves to brag about his high salary, but his coworker is so humble that she never mentions how much she earns."
(Bragging might get attention, but humility earns respect!)
Take today’s word—HUMBLE—and use it in your day. Maybe you’ll describe someone you admire or even reflect on how you can embrace humility in your own life.
That’s it for today! Stay tuned for more vocabulary gems, and let’s keep growing together. 🚀
