I have completed the first step!
-The idle and walking animations are working.
-He walks left and right depending on the button press.
-Camera follows the player
-Simple environment for him is created.
As a bonus, he slams his head into the walls.
The walking animation is a little bad, I'll get back to it later. Will use it as a placeholder for now.
With the first step complete, it's time to outline the 2nd step, as well as tell you more about the game.
In this little game we'll be playing unnamed (for now) exorcist with a special ability to touch and interact with ghosts and other creatures (his mom was a ghost, you see).
He uses his powers to not only remove ghost from our world, but also FUCK them.
The gameplay will be as follows.
1. Receive letter assigning you the next case with some information about ghost/victim.
2. Arrive inside a house and search for clues that will lead you to the room where victim has died.
3. Avoid the ghost itself until it is weakened.
4. Find the treasured object of the victim.
5. Place it inside the correct room and start the ritual.
6. Capture ghost with your runes inside that room, fuck her, exorcise her.
7. Go back to 1.
So this is simple gameplay I am striving to achieve. I will need to create a basic inventory system, as well as the bunch of triggers and a randomly spawned enemy.
But we are starting simple
Step 2:
1. Create another room along with some objects in it.
2. Create room transitions. Player should move through the doors, into another room, by pressing up (or Z).
For now this is it. Will need to research how to make normal room transitions!
