Hello, fellow dragon fans! Dayder here.
I am the creator of the Dragons of the Edge. All the coding, and technical side of every aspect of the game has been done by me so far.
At first making this game was just an occasional hobby, and a way to improve my programming skills. But with my YouTube progress videos and your feedback, I saw potential in the game and the fact that you would like to see it improve and develop. I grew up in skill a lot over the years, and decided to recode the game almost entirely, to ensure its expandability and quality. Now I entered the stage of its expansion, and need your help.
The game now has systems to support adding new dragons or other creatures relatively easily, given that I have a quality model that fits the game's specific requirements, animations, and some other assets for them. The game now also has a good foundation for things that I want to work on in the future.
But I need funds to develop the game further. To live and rest decently, to buy a good equipment to accelerate the process and allow to try new technologies, to buy high-quality assets or pay authors who create them directly for the game, and so on.
This will boost the productivity significantly.
I aim to make this game into an original, elaborate but small-scope RP/Survival game, with as much interactivity as I can get.
I want to add more dragons, not only from HTTYD, and prey creatures. A small game world with many interactive objects and things to affect your character with.
I want to implement more customization options, a way to improve your character's stats, add nesting mechanic and ability to have your own babies and flock, a basic inventory system for your characters, possibly combined with a very-very basic "crafting" system (not what you usually see in games with human characters), add more RP possibilities and, of course, more playable creatures.
This is what I want to do. But to make these plans into reality I really need your help.
I made many, many mistakes on the way, learned a lot of things, understood how hard it can be to create games, especially when you are just a beginner and set a way too high goal for yourself (which I had to partially lower, and spend a lot of additional time on making possible).
And I still want to make this game into something worthy and complete, despite all the problems and hardships.
I just really need your support.
