I do everything on my own and it takes up most of my time. This money will help me keep pouring my heart into what I do.

About

Ambient and Drone artist. I create music under the projects Desolate Horizons, Singing Sorrows, Crystalline Reflections, Sun-Loving Perennials, Pale Winter Sun and Wading Through Decay. All things Ambient.
This is where I share everything I'm working on (demos, full tracks, bonuses, my thoughts on things, giving away free Bandcamp dl codes) and would really appreciate any additional support if you love what I'm doing.
The textures you have created in this are superb - love that bit of what I think is a violin near the beginning. I think that yu are incorporating bits of field recordings in here but maybe it is clever sound manipulation. it feels like being in orbit over Solaris, the huge slow movements of an ocean... you are on a roll C!
Stephen Cornell, Thank you so much for sharing your reflections, sounds beautiful! Actually, it’s all mostly sound manipulation here, but yes, the original version of this loop included a field recording (made in our courtyard in front of our apartment building) blended with the second layer of the loop. There are four layers in this track: wind instruments, tank drums/bamboo chimes blended with the field recording (this layer provides most of the texture), a textural pad, and some strings. I'm happy you like the work so much, thank you!

a different kind of truth by singing sorrows

My apologies, I totally forgot to post the release announcement here. I'm really struggling to find the time to do everything I need to, and I'm feeling pretty run down because of it.
Anyway, here's another track from the series of long tracks - singing sorrows, a different kind of truth. I've really got the hang of this technique now, where the loop doesn't actually sound like a loop, and none of the track's elements ever appear in the same place twice, resulting in such an interesting, constantly evolving soundscape. I really enjoy working with this technique.
Name your price, as always.

'hearts of hearts' by singing sorrows

'hearts of hearts' was created over the course of several short sessions using a variety of sound sources: piano, acoustic guitars, string and wind instruments, vintage synthesiser samples, field recordings of birdsong, the murmur of streams, and the noise of bustling streets. each track was created one after another, merging into a single whole - a sequence of memories and ephemera, moments of introspection, sensory impressions, losses, and discoveries, both real and partly imagined. the cover photo was taken by my father during a family holiday at one of our favourite lakes in either the summer of 1992 or 1993. it shows me sitting on the road. i asked my father why, but he doesn’t remember. that’s the story. but i’ve always liked that photo. and i’ve always loved visiting that lake, that’s where i fell in love with fishing. the water was always crystal clear, and i often found money and all sorts of souvenirs and ephemera while swimming with a diving mask. good times.
