The Future of WordPress Plugins: What's in Store for My Repository?
Dear users, I'd like to share my thoughts on the future development of plugins in the official WordPress repository. Currently, I have three plugins published: a SKU generator for WooCommerce, a carousel slider for WooCommerce, and a plugin that allows you to download all attachments. All the plugins I release are distributed for free. Let's dive into each one:
Easy Auto SKU Generator for WooCommerce: This plugin has a significant user base, and many users have requested the addition of SKU generation based on tags and attributes. Additionally, we are working on making it compatible with high-performance order storage (HPOS). We are also addressing minor bugs reported by users on the support forum. Recently, we discovered compatibility issues with WPML, and we are actively working on resolving them.
Carousel Upsells and Related Product for WooCommerce: I released this plugin a while ago, and it hasn't seen updates for some time. However, it is still relevant. I am aware of the essential features users need, such as compatibility with caching plugins, shortcodes for page builders like Elementor, and cross-sells in the WooCommerce cart. Rest assured, I will update this plugin as soon as possible.
AIR Download Attachments: This is a new plugin I recently uploaded to the repository. It's a straightforward plugin that adds a download button for all attachments in a post or page. The plugin was created based on a user request from a WordPress forum. Currently, it lacks settings, simply displaying a download button for all images attached to a post or page. However, I'm working on creating an interface with controls for customization, and I will share more details on this in a future blog post.
