I keep experimenting with watercolour.

I should probably explain what I’m doing at the moment.

15 watercolor dragon illustrations from both my dragon books are going to be a sticker set, or a postcard set - I am not sure so far.

Also, I am working on coloring by numbers dragon book, which will have 20 illustrations. I will show you some of them soon.

And the project Snake Year (12 portraits with snakes) is currently on hold. It was supposed to be finished by early January, but I had severe migraines in November and December and had to switch to a simpler job. If you wish, I can post five ready-made illustrations for sale in PDF on Boosty, 'cause I don’t know when I can go back and finish the project. Please tell me, what you think.

The dragon number two.

Of course, I screwed the pooch again, but the size of this picture is planned to be 2.5 by 5.2 centimeters, so the flaws will not be too noticeable.

I tested Pinax granulating watercolor "cobalt turquoise dark" in a mixture with Daniel Smith "quinacridone magenta".

Since me and watercolor are incompatible, the picture was predictably spoiled, so I had to do a rain dance to save the background.

Just look at the dragon skin on the second scan: it’s all a granulation, not a pencil drawing! The white dots have been made with Poska, yes, but how do you like the skin?!

Black Bird Song

Skin of the lady is colored with Neocolor ll, and all the rest - with Pablo Carand'ache + white Posca. 7 days of work.

At the end I almost hated coloring this picture 🥴, but to be honest, I'm quite happy with the result.
