 Hello.

  
 I recently started getting a couple of new hobbies as a way of taking a break from my work. Most them involve making mods and animations.

  
 It turns out that this is not the best way to relax, because these "hobbies" happen to take a real job's amount of time and effort, sometimes to the point where i have to work more than 12 hours per day and even skip nights of sleep.
 And the total amount of time spent on my projects isn't small either, it usually counts in months or at least weeks.

  
 You know how people say that time flies past quickly when you're having fun, and goes slowly when you're working on something monotone?
 Well, i found this to be the complete opposite.
 For example, when playing videogames, i always have great moments and make good memories that last a long time. An hour of gameplay could end up with a dozen of stories to tell. Every time i finish a good game, it feels like i've lived through an entire life.
 On the other side, working on the same mod or a piece of animation for a month does not make many memories. It's just me sitting at the computer, barely eating or sleeping, coding and testing the same mod, or drawing frames of the same 1-minute scene over and over again. An entire month ends up becoming just a single small memory. And every time i finish a project, i don't even notice how much time really passes.

  

 This makes me understand why many people view working on art as a sacrifice. I'm literally giving away months of my life for a piece that usually doesn't even last a minute. A piece i barely even feel anything from, because working on it forces me to see it hundreds of times. So everything i make almost never works for me. It's an effort for the sake of others.

 Or at least leave a comment saying what part of my work you enjoyed the most. Because, unless told by someone else, i will never be able to have any idea if people actually like my creations, or if they learn anything good from them. Are the things i make even worth the months of life i spend on them, or should i just drop it all?

  

  

  

 If you're actually going to donate, please do it with a mindset that it's your way to appreciate the things i've already done.

 Some people donate to encourage creators to make more content, but in my case there's a chance that at any point in the future i might be permanently put in a position where i will never be able to access the internet or draw anything anymore, so no amount of encouragement would help me here. It's something out of my control.

 I will try to make more for as long as i can, but i'm still a person with a real life and real problems, so i suggest you have no hype or expectations in relation to me, and instead just think of anything i make as a nice bonus to everything else you get to see that day.
