About

Our Red String is a dual-protagonist non-linear adult game with a variety of choices that impact the story and change its outcome.

This guide was initially started as an independent project by Zoey Raven but because he had a lot on his shoulders, he asked me to take over and, being the fan of Eva's games, I gladly accepted! This detailed and yet concise walkthrough will provide you with everything you need to know to achieve the desired outcome and explore many others, and it is spoiler-free! I am going to make every effort to ensure that the information contained in this guide is accurate. However, I do not take responsibility for inconsistencies or errors that you might encounter while playing the game. Every question regarding the technical problems should be directed to Eva Kiss.

If you are ready to dive deep and discover the hidden secrets and opportunities, then go ahead, arm yourself with knowledge, and untangle their Red String!

July 2025 - News and update

Hello, everyone! Sorry to have disappeared for another year without any news, but it's just my life has changed for quite a bit and my priorities have shifted a bit once again.
Firstly, I decided to lower my presence online and focus on the things out there in the real world that give me more fulfillment compared to the sense of accomplishment that writing this guide or contributed to the game has provided me.
Second, and this is big, I got a decent full-time job that lets me do the things I enjoy and challenges me in new ways! So that has been my priority number 1 for half a year already and it gave me a lot of new opportunities for self-improvement.
But that said, I didn't forget about this community and part of me felt bad to just stop writing the walkthrough altogether. I know I should have paused the billing and made the last walkthrough release free a long time ago, for that I apologize. But, I urge all of you to remind me to do these things, so don't hesitate to reach me on Eva's Discord and leave your questions about the state of the releases so that your pledge doesn't go to waste.
And lastly, I decided to use my sick leave to push through and after sitting on it for a while, my Chapter 11 Walkthrough is finally finished! You can get it here. Note that I didn't include the Friday content yet because it was originally released as Chapter 11 Epilogue which I'll start later when I have the free time. Hopefully my next update will be earlier than in a year.

May 2024 - Update and news

Hello everyone!

For anyone wondering, I'm still here. I didn't really have anything to share since my last post as I was caught up in many things as usual (from tackling different projects to struggling with motivation) but finally found the drive to get back into it and finish the long-promised Ch 11 Prologue walkthrough. You can get it herehttps://boosty.to/bloodymares/posts/48df1db9-caf1-40ce-92b1-65c71d68e540?share=post_link

I also decided to make my previous release available for free (no point in keeping it locked behind a paywall), so if you weren't able to download Chapter 10 guide, you can check one of the previous posts!

One of the things that happened is that this February I built the new PC for myself! However, my SSD failed and I had to buy a new one and install a fresh system which meant I had to restore all of my programs, fonts, etc, just to be able to continue writing the guide, so I had to deal with all that first. But it's so refreshing working on a fast system!

I'd also like to share some things that I realized about my burnout and what in my opinion helped me push through. After trying different things, from diverting attention to different projects (distractions + beta-testing ORS) and taking breaks, to just taking it slow, I realized that what ultimately caused my burnout wasn't that I was tired from writing the guide (well, maybe a bit), but that I was just taking on too many tasks by myself and feeling stuck in all of them. I was just overwhelmed.

I felt responsible not only for the guide, but for the quality of the game as well. And testing the game turned out to be infinitely more draining for me than writing the guide and yet I prioritized on it more because I thought it was more important for the players to enjoy a polished game and I didn't want to rewrite the walkthrough each time to adjust for the fixes (Rewrite caused by Chapter 9 overhaul was a massive effort).

However, now I know that I'd rather modify previous chapters in the walkthrough whenever there's a need for it than try to carry the coherency of the game's confusing plot elements on my shoulders. At this point, the game became just too big for me and I decided that I can't really do all that when I already have the walkthrough to worry about. While it's disappointing that I won't be able to regain the level of support I had on Patreon, I was still failing those few of you who chose to stick around and support the walkthrough no matter what. And with that out of the way, I was finally free to focus on the guide without worrying about anything else. I'm still going to help with the game on occasion, but the guide will be my number one priority going forward.

For the next two chapters (11 and 12), I don't think I'm going to bother with the Alpha / Beta releases, and instead just release the finished chapters and give the 1-week early access to the upper tiers like in the good old days until I'm fully caught up with the game. And then, I'll be free to maybe get back into the game and do some more playtesting if I feel like it.

Anyway, hope you're enjoying the the latest ORS update and this spring has you in high spirits!

Is it December already?... Update and news!

Hello everyone!
After... 5 months (?!) of surprisingly intense focus on my new hobby I finally got around to finishing the Chapter 10 Beta guide, which I will soon post for the Test Readers. I didn't realize that my burnout was more severe than I gave it credit to, so I apologize for the radio silence. I want to thank everyone who supported the Ch 10 WT Alpha Release, I wasn't confident that it would do well based on my subscriber count but I appreciate everyone who bought the post anyway. Today I decided to make the Alpha release available to all tiers and you can also buy it for the price of the base tier. Considering my slow pace as of late, from now on I'm going to schedule all of my releases to drop in price after 1 month so that all tiers will get to have something for their money's worth.
My original plan was to write Chapter 11 Prologue walkthrough as part of the full Chapter 10 Walkthrough release (though my time estimates were way off). Since Chapter 12 Prologue has just been released, the walkthrough will have to wait while I focus on testing the update's stability and hunt down as many bugs as possible. I can't say when I'll be done with it as these things take longer than I'd like them to be (and the tournament is the most technically complex), but I'll keep you posted. If you have any questions, you can reach me on Eva's discord server.

December news and Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it. How are you liking Chapter 10 of ORS? Sorry for not sharing much of what I've been doing this month but I feel like I need to address an elephant in the room. These 2 months have been very challenging, I wasn't as productive I would've liked. I've been struggling with motivation and finding purpose to do basic everyday tasks, and naturally didn't have enough strength to follow through with my plans. I've been a bit overwhelmed trying to hunt for bugs of the Chapter 10 of ORS (it's still not polished) and didn't yet start writing the walkthrough for Ch 10 content. I'm trying to get back into it, and spending some time on my other hobby actually helped improve my mental state somewhat so during these holidays I'll be able to mix it up and start working on the Alpha draft of the Ch 10 guide.
But enough of the negatives. I hope you all have wonderful holidays and enjoy your time with loved ones or even alone. Even though it may be naive wishful thinking, but let's hope that Christmas spirit will fill the world with a bit more kindness and may it help us all find strength to deal with any potential challenges, and hopefully 2023 can actually be a good year for everybody.
Thank you for staying with me, and take care!
P.S regarding my special offer, I will be gifting a free month of the top tier to all of you who chose to pledge, but I'll do it closer to the release of the Ch10 walkthrough draft so that your free month is not wasted.

Welcome to my Boosty!

Greetings to everyone who came here to follow and support my work. I understand if some of you are not ready to continue your support here, after all it's stressful transitioning to another platform, especially if you haven't used it before. No problem, you can still subscribe to me for free and unlike Patreon, Boosty allows you to message me for free! And if you feel ready, I'd be happy to accept you as a supporter.
You might see that I use a bit different tier system. I wanted the base entry to be cheaper for you all who wanted to support me but couldn't afford $2 before. The advanced tiers cost might differ a bit from Patreon but they should correspond to the planned tier changes that I wanted to implement for the time being ($1.5 for basic access, $3 for Beta access, $5 for Alpha access, and $10 for the credit in the guides). Unfortunately I can't adjust prices for the ever-changing currency rate, hope you understand.
I would like to continue being able to provide you with detailed guides, and hopefully there won't be any more surprises along the way getting in the way of it. I'll make the notification posts if anything changes. And please, let me know if you have any difficulties with subscriptions!
