Under The Lens v0.2.5 Devlog #2
Hey everyone!
I’m back with another Devlog update. To be completely honest with you guys, working on this patch has been absolutely exhausting, haha! But seeing it all come together makes it completely worth it. I've been pouring my heart into this to ensure you get quality content not just a lot of stuff, but actually good, polished gameplay.
Here is a breakdown of what I’ve been cooking up for Update 0.2.5:
🎲 Mini game System Update
I've completely overhauled the mini game to make it much more challenging and engaging!
- The Shop & Item System: I’ve implemented a currency system where you can now earn money and buy items to help alter or buff your dice rolls.
- Save File Compatibility: You can absolutely continue playing from your old save files, but please note that you will start with a very small amount of money. If you want the full experience and wish to farm your currency from the very beginning, I highly recommend starting a New Game!
- Side Quests Flexibility: I’ve tweaked the side quest system so you can now pursue and complete all available side quests whenever you have free time in game.

Here is the core lineup of events ready for this patch:
- Sadie Sink - Event 1
- Zendaya - Session 1
- Emily Rudd - Event 1
- Jenna Ortega - Session 1
{i}Note on Emma Myers: I'm still debating whether to include Emma Myers in this upcoming patch. I want her scenes to be perfect, so if I can lock down a truly amazing, idea for her story arc, she might just make an appearance!
🗺️ Side Quests & Character Updates
- Iman Vellani: Following the results of our community vote, her storyline is officially moving forward and trust me, things are about to get much, much hotter.
- New Side Character: I have added 1 new side character to the roster. This character is actually replacing a previous one because the AI safety filters completely blocked me from generating assets for the old one (which was incredibly frustrating, to say the least!).
- Bonus Character: If time permits and everything goes smoothly before release, I will try my best to squeeze in yet another additional character for you guys.
🔥 Bonus Secret: I have plans to implement a Secret Hidden Character somewhere in the game. I’ll leave it up to you guys to hunt them down and find out who it is!
📅 Release Date
Update 0.2.5 is slated to drop between July 17th and July 19th, 2026.
