Watercolours Miiello Mission Gold (36 colours)

So it's time to talk about the watercolour set I use the most!
Miiello is a South Korean brand known for their high quality and affordability, they operated since 2002. I got this set accidentally!.. I met with one artist in Moscow and she gifted me with a huge branded palette box with some watercolour paints squeezed into it, as she had made a review on these watercolours. In other words, I actually don't have this watercolour set as it should be, in tubes :) And back then I didn't ever realise how cool this gift was! After a while (it's been 6 years I guess?) I'm still using these squeezed out paints! I bought only Lemon Yellow W521 and Vermillion W516 in addition as I thought they are the most popular ones and a couple of pastel-like tones. Now I'm thinking about saving some money to buy a whole new set again and to rejuvenate my big palette box. Also I glued a magnet inside and added some other paints which were longed for me in my art supplies boxes. Now I have a perfectly huge palette box! (The other section is not for art supplies but snacks, hehe! see the photo: I don't like to use it as a palette).
I really like this watercolour set. It feels like it was made for illustrators, the colours are very resonant/luminous.. and clear but also bright enough. I'm especially a fan of blue tones ( W541 Cerulean Blue gives just a perfect colour for sky); soft pink Permanent Rose and greens are also just fabulous . The set reminds me a bit about Nevskaya Palitra, but if it was a much better version of it. Also, the watercolours here do not overlap with ink that is just crucial for me.
After all this time, this set and palette box are my best companions, this is just how my artistic must-have setup looks like.
Swatches!
Thanks for your thoughts on these paints. I have always been curious about them. I might have to snag a set in the future.
WarmYellowShade, These watercolours are really great for everything! They work just fine with kuretake, W&N and Ecoline inks! 😽🤝😺
