Big update of Fallout Pip-Boy themes
Big update: Pip‑Boy–style theme for Innioasis Y1/Y2 now with reversed variants + Y2 icons (free).
Some time ago I shared my first Pip‑Boy–style theme for the Innioasis Y1 music player. Since then I’ve been working on a major update, and today I’m releasing it with some big changes.
What’s new in this version:
- Reversed variants for all 4 colors (green, yellow, mint, pink) – each theme now has a “night mode / inverted terminal” version that flips foreground and background.
- Support for the new Y2 firmware – updated layouts and assets to work with the latest player version.
- New icons adapted to the Y2 UI, while keeping the same Pip‑Boy terminal aesthetic.
- Refined scanlines, fonts, and contrast for better readability on the small screen.
The concept stays the same: you choose your own Pip‑Boy color and mode, then dive into your offline soundtrack as if you were exploring the Wasteland with a wearable terminal on your wrist.
All themes are available as a free download.
🧶 G - green, 🥎 Y - yellow, 🎫 M - mint, 🌸P - pink, 📘 *B - blue.
*The blue of the theme was created upon request by a community member on Reddit. Please note that blue light has a shorter wavelength, and blue glow is generally harder on the eyes on screens—so keep that in mind when using it.

Thank you for updating these for Y2, your themes are impeccable! Its possible to submit updates to your existing themes to the theme gallery with the upload form. But I've taken care of it

Ryan Specter, 💗🔥 thank you so much for working on the software for the players, and thank you very much for your support. 😭 This really touched me, because I do this out of interest and to support the community.

I'd love to see a Y1 theming masterclass from you because your themes actually target every asset in a theme. This is forward-thinking because the default theme set actually gives you a heads up of future features. I've been trying to let people know (and failing - cause I suck at communications) that e-Book support was coming, based on the icon's inclusion in the theme, when the e-books feature finally landed, most themes weren't prepared for it.
You've even taken the time to theme the Launcher icon which Innioasis intend to use for a custom firmware switching button in the settings menu in future releases. Expect a shoutout in the upcoming blog post at ko-fi.com/teamslide as an example on how to prepare high quality themes. I plan on doing a manual themes gallery audit where I'll be replacing un-edited icons with transparent placeholders (useful where a creator who say didn't have the eBook feature on their Y1 and have a mismatched ebook icon)
