A little about character creation (Part 1)
Hello friends!
This post does not carry a semantic load and is only my thoughts that I would like to share with you). I recently started working on a new project, or rather sat down to draw a new adopt. I've been planning to draw a "feminine" golem for a long time, I thought about it after I finished my first adopt from the "light" series.

(I’ll explain a little about what series we are talking about. It’s simple, I decided to divide the adopts I create into 2 sections. The first is quite well-developed characters, when creating which, I think a lot about the details and the overall concept. The second, simpler characters, when creating I practically don't edit the original sketch and don't think about how to improve some detail or the character as a whole.)
When I was working on this character, I had a strong desire to experiment with the body parts of my characters. Keep the overall humanoid form, but modify individual parts. This is how the idea to create a golem (or something similar) appeared, since usually golems have the most diverse appearance).
And so this miracle appeared)

Initially, I didn't intend to do it with full humanoid legs. And I thought for a long time whether to leave the option closer to the first one or try to make "live" legs. The variants had clawed lower limbs, like those of reptiles, or ordinary human ones.
In the end, I abandoned these two options and decided to develop a version with sharp lower limbs. I decided to make the hands as ordinary human, with the exception of some mechanical parts that I may add in the future. I also think the hands will be folded on the chest, the fingers are fastened into the lock.
Something like this:
Something like this:
Or maybe not. :D Maybe the palms will lie one on top of the other, pressed to the chest. Who knows how my eye will like it better when I get to this stage)
So let's put the hands aside for now (hehe) and move on.
As a result, the main shape of the body was formed in this form:

I worked out the torso, outlined the chest, pulled up the lower part a little, since I initially placed it too low. By the way, now when I sit and write this post, I periodically look at the very first version of the legs (when they were brought together). And damn it, it looks quite attractive, as if the golem is in sleep mode. Very tempting))
Next, I started working on the pattern on the body, in my plans it should be painted over and have a golden color.

I don't know, maybe I overdid it with the amount of this pattern on the body. I have such an unpleasant property, to get carried away too much. In any case, it will be better seen when I paint over the patterns.
A little about the details by the way. Usually, I mark up some details spontaneously in isolation from the main part of the work for which I undertook. That is, when drawing legs, I can move the picture away and suddenly I really want to sketch out the shoulders or add something to the horns. For example, her tail appeared due to the fact that at the moment when I was drawing, a stream with a vituber was turned on in the background and she had a very playful tail.)) Well, the semblance of wings and a collar, these are just my favorite details, I add them almost to each of my works, but of course it doesn’t look organic on everyone, so you don’t see it in the end.)
Well, as a conclusion to this part, I’ll show where I stopped at the moment.

And yes, she has eyes. 😅 Well, only one so far, of course, since it was more of an experiment. But I liked the way it looks, so most likely I will make two versions, with and without eyes and mouth.
I also added some armor details or you can call them metal inserts. I played a little with the pattern options on the body, I don’t know what I’ll choose in the end, maybe I’ll leave it as in the third option, but I’ll do it less often, since the option has no pattern at all, I also like it. By the way, at the expense of the option without patterns, I specially added clothes there so that it would not look too poor and it turned out pretty well.)

As a result, the two most important questions for me remain, should I redo her legs (with the knee area, in any case, there will most likely be changes) or leave everything as it is?
Did I go too far with patterns and which ones to choose?
If someone still reads this, I will be glad to your comments. You can write which options you like best or what you could try to add or change.
All the best, friends, continued in the next issue!
