Announcement of a new project

Greetings, Gensokyo FighterZ! I appear today to make a historic announcement.
Today marks exactly five years since I began my journey to create my own fighting game. Unfortunately, after all this time, I've accomplished very little. The amount of work proved overwhelming, and I realized that I wouldn't be able to complete my game.
I have decided to announce my retirement. The current game project will not be completed, and v0.033 Demo is final.
I'm grateful to the few people who supported my project and believed in my success. Yes, all five of them!
But there is also good news! Despite the current project's demise, I've decided to start a new one. This will be a completely new concept, with much less work, which significantly increases the chances of releasing the finished game.
Let's take a look at what ideas are proposed in the new project:
  • Single-player: there's no point in bothering with online play, as it necessitates attracting multiple players to play together. The vast majority of players play solo - that's the way it should be!,
  • A user-friendly and simple combat system: The need for complex inputs and consideration of multiple factors not only increases the entry threshold, but also creates numerous difficulties during game development. Instead, there will be a fairly simple combat system, easily understandable to the average player and quickly implementable technically.,
  • Opponents will finally have artificial intelligence: No more need to find another player to play alongside them! With the new combat system, it will be much easier to write a bot that will actually control the enemy.,
  • Story-Driven Adventure Mode: A short but complete storyline consisting of several battles based on the first season of the original "Touhou Musou Roku" series.
The estimated development time is about a year. I'll try my best to get it done!
