About the creator

Alexander Eremin is a professional sculptor and artist whose work
synthesizes the traditions of monumental art with modernity.
From 1996 to 2002, he studied at the Saint Petersburg State Academy of
Arts and Industry, formerly known as the Leningrad Higher School of Art
and Industry named after Mukhina- one of the most prestigious and
well-regarded schools of monumental art in Russia- where he earned his
Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. His education was guided by
experienced professors, laying the foundation for the development of his
unique style and approach to art.
After graduating from the academy, Alexander Eremin actively
participated in numerous international art events, allowing him to
immerse himself in contemporary artistic practices and exchange
experiences with colleagues from various countries. This exposure to a
diverse artistic environment significantly influenced his work and
allowed him to expand his creative boundaries.
Eremin employs various artistic media, including traditional
sculpture, installation, and painting. In his sculptural practice, he
prefers to work with wood and bronze, enabling him to explore the
richness of textures and forms. A particularly intriguing aspect of his
work is his desire to understand and convey the inner world of humanity
through form and color expression.
His creative endeavors address significant philosophical themes,
including the interaction of modern individuals with their
surroundings, as well as the conflict and continuity between tradition
and modernity. His artworks not only aesthetic but also raise pressing
questions, encouraging viewers to reflect on the deeper meanings of
existence.
Alexander Eremin’s works are housed in the collections of The
Museum of 20th–21st Century Art of St Petersburg (MASP), as well as in
private collections, which attests to his recognition and importance in
the contemporary art world.
