Giovanni Bevilacqua, The Zer is modernized but not retro at all. the SK is a modern version of the Retro SK for sure, but not a true Carni in the sense of loadouts pose etc etc, im envisioning it as somewhere between the SK and the Carni :)

It’s a tough choice just given those reference, it is hard to imagine what it could look like but I would say that the 2nd edition Carnifex (n.5) might be my n.1 choice, followed by the At-St (n.2)
n. 1 looks too similar to the Omnifex
n. 3 looks too similar to the Screamer Killer
n. 4 I can not figure out what it could be

I feel like option 1 is already the omnifex, while option 2 and 5 are substantially the same. I guess as long as it has six limbs and the 10th edition style it'll be good

#4 sounds very appealing as a heavy-duty linebreaker counterpart to the more nimble looking Zerreisser. #1 is a strong 2nd. A walker like #2 is interesting, but Im struggling to mentally visualize how an organic one would look like. The top left example looks a little goofy but a wide carapace one like top right could be very cool. #3 and #5 I'm not a huge fan of, but I did like the revised warriors a surprising amount although I prefer the modernized look more.

It should be 10th edition themed imho. Btw: The head of the omnifex ! was outstanding good, the open wide jawline, just crazy good. Just to compare it: The 2nd Ed got, well, imo, this "stoned" look, soo not my personal taste (same for me for james Mawloc, trygon, e.g.). The omnifex head is so crazy good. #4+#2: Let me think, a 10th edition themed imho, heavy armored thick carnifex carpace with the neurotyrant-bonecircle - and with 6 neurotyrant-tentacles instead of legs? would kitbash the hivetyrant wings to it and BAM - new centrepiece in the diorama^^ like a carnifex-neurotyrant-primaris melted version. Big claws. or double rangedomnifexWeapon. Guess I need to go to sleep^^ #3 looks like screamerkiller, yes, it is a carnifex too! but i see your point, it looks too similar?

Ben! I remember Wurik once asked what to reply to your question :D
There were a lot of nids with meme-worthy heads in 2nd edition, especially the Tyrant Guard.
But at least we got the Goodwin warriors back then, they still hold up really well
And as far as I remember, he didn’t work on the Trygon/Mawloc, so maybe they should get new heads more like the modern Raveners, with a beak, maybe something more monstrous.
Your Carnifex concept is even more radical than mine, I probably won’t turn it into an armored jellyfish… but who knows
#3. that one is a super simple idea: basically just the new Screamer-Killer’s skin stretched over the silhouette of a regular Carn

:D Since the whole world of ResinArtSculptures tries to beat you (competitive wise) after you released a new model i guess you are still on the right track. yeah...! A 10th ed Mawloc/trygon would be super. new heads, beak - keep.going! yess! all of it! haha. The weaponized-armored jellyfish
