Scalebreakers were quite an invention, something that could for sure challenge the drakkan dominion over the skies; however, their usage came with a set of certain issues: ammunition instability, very expensive production, and most of all, the Void Plague following Celestial Blood everywhere.

Expensive production was caused not just by the need for rather sophisticated and well-maintained tools but also by the cost of purchasing both Celestial Blood and Frozen Fire.

Celestial Blood needed to be mined and shipped across half the world from the far South, while Frozen Fire was almost exclusively prospected and sold by the same drakkan, with only minor amounts found outside of their lands or on the black market.
