Releases I’m Waiting For *____*
Hi there.
I very often forget that a certain game is supposed to come out, miss that moment entirely, and then have to perform social media acrobatics to avoid spoilers.
This year, looking at ‘23 and ‘24 as an example, my personal “waiting list” isn’t that long (and yeah, I don’t give a damn about Silksong).
So here are the games I’m waiting for and hope to grab at release:
#1 Silent Hill f – coming September 25, 2025
Yeah. I’ve thrown a lot of crap at this project on my streams. For me, Silent Hill is a town in Maine, not Japan with schoolgirls in uniforms and lycoris flowers — that’s more like some fanfic fantasy. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they shoved Pyramid Head in there too, just so people know it’s Silent Hill (and never mind the fact that Pyramid Head is James). But lately there have been few horror games, and even fewer good ones, and this could be one of them.
I want to try it just so I can either say — “TOLD YOU IT WAS CRAP” — or — “OK, FAIR ENOUGH.”

#2 Pathologic 3 – sometime in 2025
Under pressure from my barber, I finally tried playing Pathologic and ended up finishing it on stream. Honestly, I was blown away by everything. The Haruspex is a total crush, and it’s no coincidence I’m raising funds to stream the first game.
The demo for the third part is amazing. Playing as a guy swinging between apathy and mania — in my opinion, that’s a better life simulator than Inzoi.
So now I check Steam every morning.

#3 Pokémon Legends Z-A – October 16, 2025
All Pokémon games are the same. They stayed that way until the first Legends came out: open world, crafting, a real chance of getting taken out by a wild Pokémon — all beautiful and large-scale. And now there’s a sequel. This time not in feudal Japan, but in a modern setting (I’m not going to nitpick about regions and terminology).
This one’s a must-buy — unless they suddenly make it a Switch 2 exclusive.
I’m not buying a console for just one game (again).

#4 Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles – September 30, 2025
Where would I be without a Final Fantasy game, seriously?
A hundred years ago, Square Enix released their first isometric tactics game for the PS1, later ported to PSP and phones. My PSP is long lost to history, and playing on a smartphone is, in my opinion, sacrilege and battery murder. So I’ve been suffering for ages without a PC or Switch port. But now — surprise — the Japanese wanted more money, and a remaster is on the way.
The Ivalice setting isn’t my favorite, but all that job customization is exactly why I love Final Fantasy.

The list is small, but the problem is everything drops around the same time.
So… what games are you waiting for?
