About

DAWalka is a standalone AI plugin designed to generate music, sound effects, and textures directly inside your digital audio workstation. Powered by the Stable Audio 3 model, it runs entirely locally—requiring no internet connection, cloud services, or paid subscriptions after installation. The plugin features two modes: creating audio from text prompts (T2A) and re-styling uploaded audio files into a new genre while preserving the original duration (A2A). Results can be instantly dragged and dropped onto any track, with all processing handled in a separate background process that never blocks or interrupts your DAW session.
Specifically optimized for Mac computers with Apple Silicon M-series chips, DAWalka is available in both Audio Unit (AU) and VST formats. This ensures seamless compatibility with Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and other modern digital audio workstations. The project is completely free and fully open-source.

DAWalka is ready for you

For years I waited for a tool that could generate samples, phrases, and any sound I needed directly inside my DAW without breaking my creative flow. When I realized no such solution existed, I decided to build it myself.
With the help of AI coding assistants and a powerful LLM, I put together a working prototype based on Stable Audio 3. The result is a fully autonomous generator for music, textures, and sound effects — running completely locally, with no cloud dependencies, monthly subscriptions, or ties to stock libraries.
DAWalka is now available to everyone. The plugin supports both AU and VST formats, works seamlessly with Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and other modern DAWs on Mac computers with Apple Silicon (M1–M5).
The project remains completely free and open-source on GitHub. This page isn’t for exclusive content—it’s a direct way to support independent development. Every contribution goes toward infrastructure: new GPUs for running local LLMs, optimizing stability, refining the generation engine, and testing compatibility with newer macOS versions. The plugin will always stay free, but development requires resources—and your support makes it possible.
