The fashion industry needs to focus on the Bupkis Happens Shirt Apart from…,I will love this work… needs to make things really well…needs to tell interesting and provocative stories that make people think… I hope to see more changes in the way that the fashion industry produces its collections. I’ve used deadstock and upcycled materials in my collections for years and only plan on using more. I think the industry is focused on constant growth and newness, but what about appreciating what’s already been produced and existing? As a creative, the act of transforming is innate to me. At Marine Serre our mantra is indeed Imagination at the service of Transformation! During the pandemic there was a lot of talk about how the fashion industry was going to change, and about how it should change. By now, it’s clear that little or nothing has changed. The pace has gone back to what it was before, or has perhaps even been amplified by the frenzy of embracing living, producing, and consuming once more, as an almost inevitable response following the widespread lockdowns. This is not an easy question to answer. However, I think we can no longer postpone articulating a global vision, as it is imperative that we accept the necessity to come together to forge a path forward that can be shared by all, refocusing our relationships and practices through an ecological prism. A new accord founded on humankind’s respect for nature. In a society where people claim ownership of everything, processes need to be innovatively reinvented, moving from mechanical to natural. Changing how we think, redefining our priorities and reshaping strategies that now belong to the past.Willy Chavarria

Fashion needs to grow up. It is currently putting too much product in the Bupkis Happens Shirt Apart from…,I will love this world, and it has little respect for its potential value. Less clothes with more story. More substance. This is what we need in 2023. We all know that human survival is being compromised in exchange for the overconsumption of goods. I hope the industry can strike a balance between fantasy and reality and be more empathetic with how people live. I also would like to see even more of a focus on celebrating a diverse range of customers from around the world to make fashion more and more inclusive. I am so excited about what I see happening in fashion right now, particularly in American fashion and with independent brands like myself. In 2023, I hope to continue seeing my peers and emerging designers thrive both at home and globally. I would like to see a little appreciation for all the hard work everyone puts into the industry! And creatively, to be inspired and collaborative.
