Hi!
I'm continuing my story about game development and other size-difference content.
---
My name is still Helen, and I am still a single mom with two kids working three jobs in different factories.
I work on creating size-difference images in the late evenings on weekdays. And on the weekends (also late evenings, since housework and spending time with the kids is a must) I work on creating size-difference games.
At the moment I'm working alone, without any help. All I can rely on is my own strength and enthusiasm.
Please consider the above and understand why development is slower than I would like it to be.
---
I am continuing development on Size Difference World, moving the code from the RPG Maker engine to the Construct engine.
At this point, I've run into some difficulties regarding programming the movement of the enemy girls. I was doing the best I could, trying to make the enemy images overlap nicely when they intersect with each other. Now my actions have caused the enemy girls to make chaotic movements when they collide with each other.
These same chaotic movements occur when the enemies encounter impassable obstacles. Impassable obstacles are the second problem I now want to solve. More specifically, I'm currently failing at making obstacles impassable. This is proving to be more difficult than I thought. Programming a platformer game was much simpler, and there were very different object behaviors.
It turns out that I haven't made much progress since last weekend. How I wish I had at least a little more free time. I'd spend that time getting a better grasp on the capabilities of the Construct engine.
Maybe there are those among my readers who know the Construct engine. Please give me feedback at helengiantesspost@gmail.com. Maybe you can help me with enemy movement and describing impassable obstacles? I would be very grateful!
Just a reminder that I'm not posting working builds of the game on my pages right now, as they are, for now, in an unplayable state.
Instead, in a separate post, I publish a video of the result of the work.
Among other things, I created a new size-difference image. It is now available in a private gallery.
Please keep an eye out for my new posts if you are interested in what I do. If you are interested and want to ask about something, please take the time to read all the previous posts before asking questions. There are answers to many questions in the previous posts.
Many thanks to everyone who supports me.
